SPEAQ General Meeting – The changing regulatory environment

A general meeting is held every month by videoconference. The focus of these meetings is for practitioners and the membership group broadly, so the agenda covers a number of topics related to practice, sector developments and the operation of the SPEAQ network itself.

This month’s topic is focussed on Working with the changing regulatory environment: DFV Practice Standards; New Program Requirements in the Investment Specs; Regulatory framework; Data collection project.

There are significant changes to the regulatory environment for Perpetrator Intervention Programs coming into effect this year and next. The intention of this meeting is to use it as a space for people to discuss the impact of these changes, and practicalities of implementation /compliance.

Typical agenda items include:
• Updates on programs and staff: including a roundup of what’s happening in programs around the state, including emerging issues, as well as introductions to new network members
• Practice Discussion: A specific topic chosen for each month
• Other Business: including upcoming events, updates on project work, general network business

Dial-in details for each teleconference, along with meeting documents, are emailed in the week preceding the teleconference, and members can also access them when logged in to this website.
